Yesterday marked my last event as a coach for the Sartell Dance Team. For the past 7 years this has been a HUGE part of my life. It never really felt like work for me but at this point in my life – it was the right time to walk away. The end of an era.
If you follow my Facebook page, you will know that I attended a luncheon this week with speaker Kristen Brown. The one thing that I can’t seem to get out of my head from the presentation is that you have to take care of yourself first. I can list off a ton of reasons why it was time for me to be done (I won’t), but when it comes down to it – it was time to take care of myself.
I can’t I have dance
To all of my fellow co-coaches over the years: Kelly, Kelsey, Brianna, Molly, Rachel, Kelsey, Megan, Laura, Natalie, Krista, Katy, Hannah and Cassie – Thank you for your love, support and sharing a passion with me that a lot of people do not understand. I will be forever grateful for your guidance – I would not be the person I am without you.
To all of the girls I have had the opportunity to work with on the Sartell Dance Team – Thank for accepting me and letting me share my passion with you. Although I was there to teach you… I cannot even begin to explain to lessons you have all taught me. We fought to be our best selves, work hard even when we didn’t want to and had fun doing it. I am so excited to continue to watch you all grow into amazing dancers and even better people.
To everyone else who shares the passion and has impacted my dance life.. Thank you.
Here’s to the next era – I hope it’s as good as the last!
