This month’s favorites is a whole variety of products. There is something about the new season that always prompts me to try new things and of course change-up some things in the wardrobe and beauty routine. Most of the favorites this month are relatively inexpensive or one of them even free. Here’s to an awesome September and looking forward to full-force fall!
Luxe Body Scrub
Before getting a spray tan for a friend’s wedding a couple of weeks back, I was looking for a new, not oil-based, exfoliator. I ended up grabbing this one from Ulta. I got the Sea Mist & White Flower scent and I love it. It was a little pricey for what it is but makes my skin so smooth. I also used this scrub to get rid of the tan remnants after the wedding. One of my favorite things about this scrub is that is actually lathers up as well. A little bit of this product goes a long way.
I must have been living on another planet you guys… wireless headphones are awesome! My coworker, Jessica, swears by hers and I decided to pick up this pair on Amazon. I went with a white and rose gold pair to match the rest of my electronics (lol). You can also get this pair for under $20.
The only downside of these headphones is that they have to be charged. With my new phone, I don’t have a normal port for headphones, so if my wireless ones die – I have to find an adapter or plug-in to my computer instead. If that is my biggest issue this month – it will be a good month! 🙂
Liquid foundation has always been my go-to and the only foundation that is part of my routine. I decided it was time to branch out and look for something a little easier. I am a total low-key makeup wearer and am always looking for something to make it quicker or easier. I picked up this foundation and can’t get enough. I have dry skin and don’t look for a total full coverage – this foundation works great for me. If you pick it up in this set – you get over $170 worth of product for a huge discount. Shout out to my friend Taylor at The Styled Press for the info!
Glamorous Laundry Detergent
Yes – this is about as basic as it gets.. lol! I first heard about this laundry detergent from Emily Gemma over at The Sweetest Thing Blog and decided to pick it up. It seriously smells delicious and is long-lasting on my sheets. I have only tried the Diva scent. According to Emily, she uses this one her sheets and towels after she bleaches them. I wash my sheets in this only, once a week and it seems to work fine. I would absolutely love to have clean, white sheets – but with Nate and our dog and our horrible habit of watching movies and having cocktails in bed… I don’t think it would work for us.
Skinny Girl Popcorn
Popcorn is one of my favorite foods. I could eat it daily – and probably do! One of my coworkers recently brought in the Skinny Girl Lime and Salt popcorn and it was so good. I decided to pick up this popcorn. At 160 calories per bag, it is a great snack!
I mentioned sweater weather in my last favorites post, but I cannot leave it off of this one. I just got this sweater in the mail from Express and have been living in it and totally recommend sizing down. I ordered my normal size and it could be a dress – still love it though!
Popsockets and Popclip
I picked up my first Popsocket when I upgraded my phone in February and have not had a phone case without one since. It was not until I got the Popclip that I decided to feature it on my monthly favorites. The popsocket has some great qualities – I haven’t dropped my phone on my face in a while and my selfie game is pretty strong lol – but the Popclip has helped with directions/maps and not being a distracted driver. That is super important.
I am late to the game on this one – I know. One of my coworkers recommended the podcast, Serial. I have listened to the entire first season in the past few days and am on the lookout for any and all other Podcasts that are worth listening to. If you have a suggestion – let me know!
I cannot believe that September is coming to a close already. As an adult, time seems to fly by way faster than it did even 10 years ago! We have no plans the next couple of weekends and I am really excited to spend some time together and with our pup. It has almost been a year since we got her – watch for a post on that too!
If there is anything you want to see coming up on the blog – let me know. I am always looking for new ideas and project suggestions.
