I hope everyone had a fun 4th of July weekend. We spent most of our time out at the lake and doing some projects around our house. Nate and I both took this whole week off and it is so needed. After taking a day to relax after the long weekend, I am back with my June Favorites.
For most of June, I didn’t spend a ton of time trying new products – I was mostly dreaming about my upcoming week off and spending time with Nate. Oops 🙂
I can’t get over these two person pool floats. They are huge and were so much fun to have on the lake this past weekend. The best part about them is that they are less that $25 each. I honestly thought the sign was wrong at first. I picked up a swan and a rainbow unicorn. They also had a flamingo, peacock and others.
I really love any and all cute floaties. I think they are so fun and it is fun to see what other people come up with on the lake.
Some of my favorites:
Can you believe I have never owned a pair of white shorts until a couple of weeks ago? Yeah I know… crazy. I picked up this pair and basically lived in them all weekend. What I love about these shorts in that they are a little bit longer and not super low-rise. I don’t have to worry about my booty hanging out and can just enjoy my day.
I will be the first one to admit that I love office supplies and finding a good pen. These pens are amazing and come in a 14-pack with all of the colors. They write super smooth, dry quickly and don’t bleed through my paper. Seriously – pick these up… you won’t regret it.
I recently added this product to my skin care routine and have not been disappointed. I have dry skin all year round and sometimes I feel like I can’t catch a break. This cream is thick and absorbs into the skin quickly. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and hydrated. Having greasy skin from moisturizers is one thing I cannot stand, and although this cream is super hydrating – it doesn’t leave a greasy look or feel.
*I received this product complimentary from Laneige and Influenster for testing purposes. All opinions are always my own.
For my book club this month, we are reading The Life-changing Magic of Not Giving a F*ck. I was honestly thinking about leaving this book off of the list because of the language but eh. I don’t think I have ever read a book this fast and actually participated in the activities that go along with it. If you are feeling stressed, stuck or overwhelmed.. Pick this book up. Sarah Knight knows what’s up and now I feel like I am on my way there too. 🙂
On another note, Nellie has now chewed through my Apple Watch charger and my MacBook Pro charger… and of course – my old MacBook charger will not work with this one so it’s off to fetch a new $80 charger *insert crying emoji* She is now banned from all bedrooms in the house.
I am soaking up every last bit of the rest of our week off. Nate and I are both back to work on Monday and then have a couple of busy weekends coming up. Two more weeks until my next vacation and I am already counting down! I can’t wait for another travel post on A Piece of Alyse.
