I love being busy. People often ask me how I do it and the answer is staying organized. I have to admit; my schedule has gotten less packed with the starting of a new job last April. I have one consistent income as opposed to balancing four jobs at one time.
There are many tools that have helped me stay organized along the way and I am really excited to share a few of them with you!
Erin Condren Life Planner
This planner is AWESOME. I bought my first Life Planner over two years ago and the vertical layout is incredible. It helps break the day into sections and organize based on different parts of your life. I opted for the 18-month planner and there are a lot of fun add-ons to go with it. These are a little pricey – but totally worth it and customizable!

Nate bought me a Silhouette Portrait for my birthday last year and it is the best present I have EVER received. I use mine weekly if not daily. I use it for making labels, handmade cards, addressing envelopes and a lot of our projects. It is a huge timesaver and definitely is a key player in keeping me organized.
I don’t even know what I did without this drawer unit. In 2014, I decided to get rid of my old corner desk and get a white table desk from Ikea. I loved the look of it – but it really ended up being cluttered and more of a storage table than a functional desk. I bought the matching Alex Drawer unit about six months ago – and it is so nice to finally be able to utilize my workspace. If you are on the boarder of buying this – GET IT.
Acrylic Drawer Unit
Hi, my name is Alyse and I hoard office supplies. *insert girl raising hand emoji*
This Acrylic drawer set from The Container Store is awesome for a supply hoarder like me. I have so many notepads, clips and page flags that honestly – sometimes I forget that I have them. This is awesome because it is clear and helps display and organize some of the items so they don’t get forgotten!
Sticky Notes and Checklists
I bunched these two items together because honestly my favorite are the lined, sticky notepads. I am a huge list maker – I think this contributes the most to my organization. I love being able to complete tasks and physically check them off. I also use sticky notes to leave myself (and Nate) reminders – they are everywhere. Get the ones in the image here: Notepad Trio
I am always looking for new ways to get organized! If there is something that you swear by to stay organized – let me know!
