T.G.I.F! Hallelujah! I am so excited that it is finally Friday! In this post, I am going through a list of the five things that got me through this week.
My number one favorite for this week – and all weeks – is Nate. Nate works out of town every single week. He leaves Monday morning at 4:00 a.m. and right now is coming home Friday nights. I am so excited to see him, chat about our weeks and spend the weekend together.
Mother nature has finally cut us a break. We are looking at a weekend in the 70’s and I am so excited. That is one thing that was hard to adjust to when I got a full-time job – not being able to spend the day at the lake. By the time I get off – it is already 5:00 p.m. and a little too late, in my opinion, to grab my suit and head out. I am really looking forward to spending some time out on the lake this weekend fishing, tanning and enjoying a couple cocktails with my family.
I swear, coffee has been keeping me alive this week. I typically drink one cup of coffee every weekday morning and grab a Starbucks – or Caribou for the Minnesotans – when we head out on our next adventure on the weekends. This week, I have been refilling MULTIPLE times a day at work.. We will have to see how the weekend goes!

With our colliding schedules, it is really hard to get together with a lot of my friends. This week, I made it to Happy Hour twice and had dinner and a pool date with my bestie and her daughter. I am definitely hoping to find some time in our busy schedules to get together as the summer rolls on.
Two weeks ago, Nate and I purchased a scroll saw. This is something that I had been wanting for a long time. I love wood decor and creating gifts for people. After finding some awesome etsy shops – I knew I had to have one. So far I have created three signs and it is only the beginning. My favorite is the first one I made for my mom for Mother’s Day. Life is better at the Lake – stay tuned for the final product photo!
I hope everyone has a fantastic weekend and amazing weather – summer is right around the corner!
