Happy Friday, friends! I am excited to be writing about my December favorites to wrap up the first week of the new year. In case you missed it, my first post of the year, Hello 2018, was published at the beginning of the week. Make sure to check it out if you missed it!
Young Living Essential Oils
I won a Premium Starter Kit at the end of November, and after being put on backorder, it finally arrived in the middle of December. To say that I am obsessed is an understatement. Some of our favorites right now include:
- Lavender – I feel like this one is everyone’s favorite! There are so many uses and it smells delicious!
- Lemon – A drop in my water is so good!
- DiGize – Nate swears by this oil. Nate – the person who won’t take an ibuprofen – actually uses this oil to help with his acid reflux and digestion – it has to be good!
- Stress Away – This lives at my desk at work. I love the blend.
We have already started to add to our oil collection and I am excited to share more oil posts and information with you in the future! Let me know if there is anything specific you want to see or know!
Although Essential Oils and a diffuser have made their way into our home, I don’t think I will ever be able to eliminate candles. If you know me at all – you will know that I absolutely LOVE candles and scents in general.
I picked up this candle during a holiday sale at Anthropologie. The packaging is gorgeous and the candle has an awesome scent. It is one of those candles that can sit out on your desk or coffee table and not be an eyesore! Highly recommend if you are a candle lover like me.
I finally caved in and purchased a new hair straightener. I had been using the same Remington Wet-2-Straight flat iron since high school (almost 10 years ago.. ouch), and it was just not cutting it anymore. It was super damaging to my hair and was not heating evenly anymore.
I purchased this flat iron at the beginning of December and have noticed a huge difference in my hair. I do not hold heat on my hair as long, it stays straight longer and the ends are not snapping off on every pass.
I ordered this spray on Black Friday after hearing so many people rave about it. All the hype is real – this stuff is awesome. It is light but still does its jobs, smells good and a little bit goes a long way. This spray is a little on the pricey side, but totally worth it in my opinion.
Belif Eye Cream and Moisture Bomb Moisturizer
Like I have mentioned in other posts, I am totally a product junkie – especially skincare – and this is a really good product. There is no harsh smell, it applies really nice and doesn’t feel super heavy on the skin.
*Influenster and Belif sent me this product complimentary for testing purposes. As always – all opinions are my own.
It is recommended that when you add essential oils (lemon for me) to your beverage, that you use a glass or glass water bottle. This pack is such a great deal – perfect to keep a couple for yourself and also gift them to friends. For under $20 for six – you can’t go wrong. I think adding a vinyl name or saying would be so cute too! 🙂
On my most recent work trip, I listened to The 5 Second Rule on Audible. Listening to the author talk about how this rule helped change her life, and the lives of others, is so inspiring. The book left me feeling empowered and like I could do anything. If you are needing a pick me up in the new year – listen to this book!
I hope everyone is having an awesome start to 2018, and if not – don’t worry, there is still plenty of time to turn it around! 🙂 Tonight, a couple girlfriends and I are headed to dinner and to the University of Minnesota “Best of the Best” dance showcase. Saturday and Sunday have no plans – my favorite kind of weekend. Stay warm!
