Fourth of July is one of my absolute favorite holidays and has been for as long as I can remember. I love everything about being with friends and family on the water (Land of 10,000 Lakes over here!) and celebrating our independence. The fireworks aren’t bad either. 🙂 Last year, I put together my first outfit inspiration (read HERE – I would totally still wear everything in the post) and thought that it was time for another 4th of July Outfit Inspiration.
4th of July Outfit Inspiration
On the Water
One pieces are all the rage right now and I am on board. A lot of suits come with crazy cut outs and low cuts – I prefer something classic with a twist. The two that I am really loving for the 4th are here and here. Subtle pattern and ruffles are my jam.
As for shoes, I always lean towards whatever is the easiest to slide on and can withstand the water. I am a Crocs girl (I know, I know – save the harassment). If you are looking for something a little more fashionable – try these or these.
On the Town
Like I mentioned in my update last year, a small town close to us host’s their annual festival on July 3rd. For an on the town look, I love patterned maxi dresses. This one for under $23. The pattern is red and blue (with a little bit of yellow) but doesn’t scream 4th of July. As much as I love the holiday, I want to be able to wear the outfits again and this one is perfect for that. It is also super easy to throw on after a day on the water!
I am loving these sandals right now and the pop of color is just what you need to spice up the outfit. A cross body purse like this one is always my go-to for events. It is easier to house all of your stuff and still be able to hold your phone or drink at the same time.
For fireworks, I love getting cozied up and just enjoying the show. A pair of distressed jeans, some cute sneakers and a zip-up just in case are the perfect choice. Super hot weather? Substitute a pair of shorts or ditch the zip-up.
Also – #targetdoesitagain. I found a really cute picnic blanket last year that I thought would be awesome for the 4th. Target has some new ones in stock and they would be perfect for the fireworks! 🙂
I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am for the 4th and for some time off with Nate. Only a couple more days – we got this! Happy Hump Day.
